I have looked over the archive from top to bottom and
have not found a satisfactory answer on how to
configure Apple, IPX, etc over ATM.
In the archives there was a posting that had CLIP on a
subinterface. It was also stated that to get apple to
work, we should use another subinterface other than
the one config'd for CLIP. I understand CLIP will
only map IP--NSAP. That being the case, why couldn't
we then create a map-list and map the layer 3 -- NSAP
and add that map list to the subinterface. I am
assuming, which I know I shouldn't, that this was
tried and didn't work. Can someone please shed light
on this obscure subject?
Will straight SVC's and a map-list containing the
layer 3 -- NSAP work? I have not had a chance to try
anything but IP. I got IP to work with no problems.
I fear the exam question that says config ATM0/0 for
clip, apple, ipx, etc.....
