Transparent Bridging config

Hello all,

Been working thru bridging configs and was wondering
if someone has an idea why its not working properly.

configuration

PC1(TokenRing)--TR---(R1)--Serial---(R2)--TR--PC2(TokenRing)

Here is a summary of config for R1 and R2

R1
bridge 1 protocol ieee
interface serial 0
bridge-group 1
interface TokenRing 0
bridge-group 1

R2
bridge 1 protocol ieee
interface serial 0
bridge-group 1
interface TokenRing 0
bridge-group 1

PC1 - Ip address 172.16.1.1/24
PC2 - Ip address 172.16.1.2/24

I tried pinging from PC1 to PC2 but no response. I
turned off IP routing on both R1 and R2 so IP should
be bridged across. Its not working..

Need feedback!
