First, summer is slow with Networkers twice. Many (if not all) lab procters
attend both conferences, plus throw in some vacation. Halifax is completely
closed for most of July.

I share some of your frustration. I failed the test in March, April and
again in May. The first two times were my fault due to some significant
scenarios I didn't know. The third time I was a little more than annoyed. I
had significant problems with things on my lab that just didn't work due to
defective gear or software. I was given all the points for the things I
configured correctly yet didn't work, and I was given back the time that
the procter consumed working on my lab, but even the best burn cycles
rechecking their work before being convinced it should work when it
doesn't. I was not a happy camper walking away from
not-enough-points-on-day-two.

Anyway, I've gotten over it (although it took a little longer this time)
and I am studying and practicing again. My next attempt is July 24, this
time in RTP. I've never been there before, but at least maybe their gear
works <sigh>. Based upon lack of response on the list, perhaps there is
still hope for my goal. I really wanted a number less than 6000, but I'll
take what I get.

Hang in there. I don't know how long ago your last attempt was, but if you
came away from the lab feeling that you knew the material fairly well, but
just didn't do well in the "testing chamber," I would encourage you to take
the test again ASAP. Too much time between tests, allows you to lose your
edge on the stuff you know well. Also the lab itself doesn't change much on
a 30 day cycle. All the labs run a wait list for cancellations, but even
though you can put yourself on the wait list at multiple labs, keep calling
them up. It is easier for the lab administrators to schedule a live one on
the phone than to keep working their list and waiting for no thank you
callbacks. As you can tell, I've had no problem getting in just over the
30 day minimum interval.

Keep it going!
