Yes, I do this myself. You just need an external NT1 (with 1 U and 2
S/T interfaces) and BRI S/T interfaces on your routers. Setup ISDN
SPID1 on each router using the two SPIDS from your telco. Obviously,
there won't be a SPID2 on either router. I actually test all ISDN lab
configs in this fashion. It works great. The only thing you can't do
between the the two routers is multilink PPP. Outside of that, you
should have no trouble. Just make sure you know what your service plan
is on your BRI line. If your paying by the hour and you slip something
up in your config (i.e. line stays up for hours on end), you could
have a hefty bill from the carrier.
The ISDN simluators are far too costly. I'd invest $2000 in a switch
or router first.
