   Earl,

I setup a similar one last night in the lab, it seems pretty
straight-forward. I don't quite follow the database part of it yet,
the docs seem to be vague as to if that is 'required', although it is
obviously not. I configured most of the DHCP options, including using
another router with a helper address, it all works fine. Just seems a
little kludged, compared to other DHCP servers. HTH,

Does anyone have a working config for DHCP? Can anyone give me the
   landmines associated with configuring DHCP?

Here is a very small one that I came up with on my own.

   ip dhcp excluded-address 198.76.13.20

   !

   ip dhcp pool ccie

      network 198.76.13.0 255.255.255.0

      default-router 198.76.13.254

      lease infinite
