       You will find that it will work OK if you enable RIP
   authentication on the interfaces first and then define your key and
   key-string rather than defining the key first.

   I am having problem in getting rip authentication working on serial
   links. It worked initially, and after removing and putting back
   authentication again ( exactly same as initial config), It doesn't
   work. Any ideas?
