Keep in mind that you can open other sessions w/o clearing the other open
lines. At that point you can drop in and out of routers using their session
numbers... don't waste your time clearing the lines each time.

Also, the list has been dead for the last few days... might not be the
Microsoft void (but if you want to blame Bill Gatus of BORG, that is fine
with me)... :-)

after you escape type:

show sessions...

2511A#sh sess
Conn Host Address Byte Idle Conn Name
* 1 2513A 10.254.254.1 0 0 2513A
   2 2501A 10.254.254.1 0 33 2501A
   3 2501B 10.254.254.1 7 02:07 2501B
   4 3000A 10.254.254.1 0 05:11 3000A
   5 3000B 10.254.254.1 0 05:09 3000B
   6 3000C 10.254.254.1 0 05:08 3000C
   7 4000M 10.254.254.1 0 19 4000M

2511A#

You can type the Connection number to restore the previously open tty.

The trick to getting this working really well is to open the sessions in an
order that makes sense to you so that you don't have to type "sh sess" to
know what connection to type.

I have my lab this Friday and Saturday... good luck on yours... wish me
luck on mine.

Subject: Terminal Server question

When you move between devices on 2511 for example do you have to 'clear
line' and -confirm- everytime you get off a line with <ctrl>+shift+6 x?
This gets tiring.

My apologies if these questions were recieved and answered already.
These are the last few odds and ends I want to clear up before San Jose
on next Tuesday. My NT machine had a filter sending these messages to a
folder. It apparently stopped working 2 days ago, and dropped all
messages into the Microsoft void.

Regards,
Jeff
