I just wanted to vent about an unfortunate transaction that I just had with
GrandStore.Com (aka. Hitek, Inc.) on Ebay. They do A LOT of Cisco sales on
Ebay, so watch out!
I won an auction for a 2512 and a 2502 router. When the router arrived, it
was missing mounting equipment (not a big deal), had a home-made copy of
the documentation CD, and questionable licensing on the router IOS.
But what really ticked me off, was that the guy sent me a 2510, not a 2512.
When I asked for him to correct this situation, he sent me an e-mail
telling me how a 2510 and a 2512 are virtually the same and I should not
worry about it. (Never mind that a 2510 goes for about $200 less on Ebay
than a 2512).
To add insult to injury, they charged me a $12.75 "handling fee" and left a
negative feedback because I demanded that they produce documentation to
prove the IOS was legal.
Thanks... I feel better now.
Has anyone else had dealings with these guys? I noticed they do quite a bit
of volume.
