I certainly fail to see how my post to Yong is beating him up. In my
opinion it is actually help him! Maybe he'll take the opportunity to figure
things out for himself and thereby make himself a better engineer and more
prepared for the CCIE lab exam. How is this doing him an injustice? Where
is the negative impact of keeping actual CCIE lab test questions protected?
Do we know if Yong had this lab or if someone he knows wrote theirs out word
for word and gave it to him? Do we want to encourage this type of behavior?
Don't you think if Cisco wanted everyone to know the answer to questions
beforehand they would give the lab scenarios out on their own? Have you
ever seen me comment negatively on any other questions posted to this list?
Given this, how is what I did wrong!
I don't think this list exists for just answering questions. Rather to
provides a forum for helping others gain a real understanding of
technologies and the various skills, such as troubleshooting or finding the
answer to a question, necessary to not only pass the CCIE lab but also be a
valuable engineer. Answering the questions Yong posted is doing a
disservice to him, you, and the certification. And while it can be argued a
CCIE who doesn't know his stuff won't be able to make it in the real world,
I don't want to see that become the case... There is a time when MCSE meant
something too (I know, this is an extreme comparison).
You are making judgments and coming to conclusions about me that are totally
unfounded. You have no clue as to where I am in my career path, nor what my
abilities are. I also find it ironic that you are beating up on me in the
same mail you condemn me for beating up on someone else...
