The only thing you have to do is to simple identify the problems. The
proctor told me that my listing of errors should match his. He did not
check my config. However, he did mention that it might be helpful to fix
the problems. For example(from a prep course), you may have to recover a
password in order to see the running config....

The way the sheet is worded it appears that you just need to identify the
problem and write down the steps to fix it, but I didn't ask the proctor...
There are defiantly errors that require others to be fixed before correcting
or finding them. For instance, if you don't have the enable password for a
router how can you fix an IP addressing problem?

Troubleshooting really is the easy part. I was trying to suppress my smile
during troubleshooting because I knew I had it in the bag on my first lab
attempt. You shouldn't need any guidance, just start with a router and
start checking interface state, pinging, etc. Work out from that router and
fix problems as you come across them. Believe me, you'll find things
wrong... Just remember, very few people actually make it to
troubleshooting and fail.
