Hi,Kent, let me clarify it:
when we talk about connectting to PABX, we must know a little about PABX,
PABX is a TDM box, it generally has two types of interface card(it surely has
other types, we wouldn't discuss here), Trunk card and User interface card.
Trunk card includes digital trunk( T1,E1) which use digital signals such
as R2 and analog trunk such as CO and E&M, so when we use packet voice equipmen
ts to connect to PABX, do this:
cisco 3600----------------------PABX
E1 ----------------------- E1
T1 ----------------------- T1
E&M ------------------------ E&M (same type)
FXS ------------------------ CO/Trk
FXO ------------------------ analog User interface car
