Under the Async interface on both ends, try adding
async default routing
If you also want any routing protocol to work, then you also need to add
async dynamic routing
...and depending upon the specific routing protocol, the broadcast
parameter on the dialer map statement.
FWIW, I've never had to call a chat script to dial a hayes compatible
modem. The atdt stuff (V.25bis?) is built in.
