Erasing files from flash SIMMS

Hi,

Somebody knows how can you erase the deleted files from the SIMM flash.
If you can't recover the deleted space, wich is the purpose of the delete flash
:<file> command?

I know that in a PCMCIA card you can issue the squeeze command, What about the
simm flashes?
