Thanks for the comments, Jon... I appreciate it.

Um, as far as the lab itself, I would highly, highly recommend the labs
from www.cciebootcamp.com . I took 2 weeks off from work (vacation time)
before my lab, and just worked through those labs. I found that the
material covered was very complete. I felt that the labs were actually
much more complicated than the real one. You have the added pressure of
time when you're in there for real, though. One area that you might need
to do a little more studying on is VoIP... this is a new area, and the
cciebootcamp labs only have very basic configuration scenarios for it...
other than that, they whip you into serious shape for the real deal.

Books that I recommend: Routing TCP/IP Vol I (Jeff Doyle),
Interconnections (Radia Perlman), and Cisco Certification (Routers and
Bridges) by Caslow. The caslow book has some good information on DLSw+,
ATM and a few other topics not often covered in other books. I also read
CCIE: Network Design and Case Studies from Cisco Press, but it wasn't all
that helpfull... reading the Caslow book gives you everything you need,
without a bunch of extra crap.

Lab time is key... www.cciebootcamp.com also rents time at a reasonable
rate... Also, www.fatkid.com has some interesting labs (for free), that
actually add some extra stuff to the bootcamp labs.

Good luck!
