If I understand the question- no.
I was just using the PSTN as a way to get to the 3810.
If you connect the FXO port to a live phone jack that has
a "real" phone number, you'll be able to dial the 3810 from
the PSTN.
FXO = Foreign Exchange Office (connects to a phone switch)
FXS = Foreign Exchange Station (connects to a phone)
A simpler example would have been to have one 3810,
with two FXS ports (1/1, 1/2) and phones on each port.
With PLAR configured on 1/2, simply picking up the
phone on 1/2 would ring the phone on 1/1 automatically.
Kind of a "hot line" effect.
