Rob,

PLAR (Private Line Automatic Ringdown) is like the "Batphone", just pick up the

phone and the number configured in the command line "connection plar" will be
automatic dialed. Beware that this is the only number that is possible to be
dialed from the extension configured as Plar, on the other hand the extension
can receive calls from everywhere. You can use it if you want to allow a small
office to call only a predefined number from that specific extension, you can
config other extensions to call whereever you want.

Felipe.

Subject: What is PLAR?

Hi all, I am trying various voice configurations, but I am a little
confused about the "PLAR" configuration. The Cisco documentation
touches on it, but not in great depth. Can someone please explain for
me when you would use it and why?
