Just like you use the "as-path prepend", you can use the "as-path
tag", where the tag could force the value for as-path.
Router(config-route-map)#set as-path ?
prepend Prepend to the as-path
tag Set the tag as an AS-path attribute

If you form an aggregate based on different external neighboring
autonomous systems (or ASs, or ASses, what's the plural? :) ), you
can configure it so that it does not forward the as-set attribute and
the originator of the aggregate becomes the starting AS for the
route. If you base the aggregate on routes from a single external AS,
that AS will come through on the as-path.
Warning... I'm only book smart here (Halabi's book)

Subject: Hiding BGP AS Numbers
Coming out of lurk mode...
Say I have a BGP configuration as follows
AS1-----------AS2-----------AS3
When routes get to AS1 that have gone through AS2 their path will be 2
3 or 2 3 ? ? ? etc
Is there any way I can strip off the 3 (or everything else) in the
path to make it look like it originated in AS2?
I know how to prepend extra AS numbers on, but not delete them.
BTW, anyone going to San Jose 3/22 and 3/23?
Thanks,
Robb
