Yes, you can do that with a T-1. You will need to make a cross-connect
cable to hook to the CSU's... If memory serves correctly (it's been a
while!), pins 4-5 and 7-8 are the active pairs on a T-1 cable. So design
your cross-connect cable appropriately.
Yes, a PRI uses the same signalling method (B8ZS/ESF), but you need to have
a switch or a simulator to emulate the D-channel signalling that is unique
and indicative of a PRI line. Sorry about that.

Can someone tell me whether or not I can hook up two CSU/DSU's back to

I would like to play around with configuring channelized T1's connected via
Sync Serial ports.
I also want to configure a PRI but can't afford a simulator that can handle
it. As the framing and linecode are the same as a T1, is there some way one
could emulate a PRI?
