A few questions

Hello,

A couple of questions: One in follow-up to the dialer-interface question
earlier and a second concerning multicast addressing and how an interface
regards it.

1) What commands when a logical dialer interface is configured for ISDN must
exist on the physical and which on the dialer interface? Spids and switch
types for instance.. Are related to the switch being accessed. So, as dialer
commands are related to specific called sites where ought these guys go? If
someone can provide a complete breakdown of the components
and their proper place that would be great.

2) I was thinking about multicast.. For instance the registration of a
routing component to recieve 224.0.0.5 for OSPF.. I am supposing that the
Unicast address for a specific interface is placed somewhere in memory and
is that location is pointed to to respond to arp requests and such.. IS the
multicast address treated precisely the same?

Thanks in advance for your replies..

Hope you all have a great Christmas and New Years..

Curtis
