Well folks...... It's over!!!

Passed the lab yesterday on the first attempt. I didn't post often to this
list but I did get alot from it. Thanks to all the contributors. I will try
and summarize the obvious question: Had did you prepare?

I used the following books primarily.

Caslow
Jeff Doyle's Routing TCP/IP
Halibai's Internetworking Architectures.
CCIE Design and case studies ( basically the design guides and case studies
from the Cisco CD)

I attended the following courses since I started down this long road.

ICRC
ACRC
CLSC
CATM
SNAM

Those course books were also useful and I used them to get the CCNA and CCNP
first which helped me ease into the CCIE rather than bite it all off at
once.

I also attended Bruce Caslow's ECP-1 course. AWESOME!

The above was the core material I used but certainitly not all of it. You
have to use every resource you can find and that CD, although not the
easiest to find things at first, is one of the best there is.

I also had a rack of seven routers at home which was great to practice with.
Can't forget that one.

Happy Holidays,

Steve CCIE# 5442
