Eric,
If i am understanding you problem correctly, one comes up like a champ,
ant the other gets torn down immediately upon connecting. What I believe is
happening, is that PPP Chap realizes that you have 2 calls to the same
place, and tears one down. The work around to this is to use the ppp chap
hostname command to fool the routers into thinking it is not the router that
already has a connection calling, but someone else.
You must define another username on the receiving router.
Bruce Caslow explains it better than I so I will point you to his book,
pages 187-189
