I thing you just need to know that 4 is a file server 7 is a print server
and the socket for saps is 452

here are some notes i made up in the topic.....

Server is sap-type 4
Print server is sap-type 7

The socket number is 452

Make sure that the source IPX network given in the sap is not the one you
want to advertise the sap out of. Split-Horzion will not allow this. In
the example I used the IPX network of the loopback.
Router 4
ipx sap 4 dserver cabe0004.6666.6666.6666 452 2 (dserver is the ipx server
name, its 2 hops away)

Sap seen on router 5, many hops away
Sleepy#sh ipx servers
Codes: S - Static, P - Periodic, E - EIGRP, N - NLSP, H - Holddown, + =
detail
2 Total IPX Servers

Table ordering is based on routing and server info

Type Name Net Address Port Route Hops
Itf
E 4 dserver CABE0004.6666.6666.6666:0452 2297856/01 3
Se0.2
E 7 d-printer CABE0004.6666.6666.6666:0452 2297856/01 2
Se0.2
