Hi Michael,
These are the books I used for my preparation
(a) Cisco Certification, Bruce Caslow
(b) TCP/IP Vol 1, Jeff Doyle
(c) Advanced IP routing for Cisco Networks, Terry slatery
(d) Cisco Multicast Routing and Switching, Parkhust
(e) BCRAN manual
(f) Cisco LAN Swithing
(g) Cisco CD
(h) CCIE Bootcamp (it really helps in terms of speed)
I have lots of other books. But these are the few core ones that I used.
Courses attended are : ICRC, ACRC and CIT. HOwever, I do have
a rack of routers and a CAT5500 for me to play with.
It took me 1 yr 4 months starting from CCNA, CCNP to CCIE.
This is my 2nd attempt. Couldn't get enough points on the
troubleshooting section to pass during my 1st attempt.
Try out some of the scenarios in the newsgroup. It really helps.
Good Luck !!
