what is the differnce btn rotary group and dialer-pool;

Hi all,
I understand how rotary group and dialer pools are working.I feel the
difference is in rotary group just a pool of physical int are used by dialer
int.
Where as in dialer pool the physical int can be shared by multiple dilaer
interfaces.
Am I correct or any thing I am missing...
