All,
I went to spend some time hammering away at dlsw, but found myself engulfed in
a troubleshooting excersise. (maybee good practice for afternoon on sept 2 if I
make it that far).
I am pulling my hair out over this one. My term server (172.16.2.225) i
s connected via ethernet to my backbone. The default route is 172.16.2.254 and
has been working fine. I am able to ping/telnet to the box from the default gat
way. No secondary addresses/accesslist/policys are being used.
Unroutable tells me that there are no routes to the destination and no default
route. It appears that the packet is dieing in the routing process of the router
and never making it to the ethernet interface.
Trace never makes it to first hop (which is in fact the destination router, but
different interface).
If I add a static route 172.16.1.254 255.255.255.255 172.16.2.254 it works, bu
t my default route is still not working.
Router has been rebooted
All other routing appears to be working fine.
Any thoughts ??????
Thanks in advance
ttfn
