Hi folks,
Just to add my little bit to the great CCIE lab discussion.....save your
configs regularly.
I was at the lab in Brussels at the beginning of June, beavering away,
when about 1.5 hours after lunch on day 1 the building lost power, the
lab plunged into darkness and the routers went eerily quiet. About half
an hour later the power came back up, but it was another half hour
before the lab was useable. Although we had extra time allocated to
make up, it was still a pain having to go back over the configs to work
out which bits I'd lost and re-type them, and certainly disrupted any
flow of concentration. I reckon I'd lost somewhere between half to an
hours work that I needed to recover, having not saved for a while when
the power died.
I'm going back in August, and will be hitting the 'wr' a little more
often than I was on the morning of day 1!!
Regards,
Vaughan
