Hi,
I think an explanation was already given by someone on the list about using
the 10.0.0.0 without default gateway on the PC . In such case where the PC
thinks dest is in the same network and sends an ARP for it. The router
will reply back with its own MAC address.
It is quite possible in your case that you have been using 255.255.0.0 mask
for all your subnetworks and communication was possible.
Now, since you have introduced a routing device (isdn router) which could
understand 'subnets' the problem would have been caused.
