OK, all you ATM whizzes out there. Can you help me with this (simple)
configuration?
I've been reading the Catalyst configuration guide on setting up LANE and
although I've never done it, I think I can get through setting it up. I
have one question though.
Does the LES/BUS go on the physical interface or the subinterface? Most
things I've read seem to say the subinterface, but the configuration guide
is a little schizophrenic -- It shows it both ways. Which is correct? Or
does it matter?
I'm assuming that I'll be asked to create a elan using the switch as the
LECS/LES/BUS. My "model" configuration looks like this:
(global)
lane database mydb
name default server-atm-address <nsap>
default-name default
int atm0
atm pvc 1 0 5 qsaal
atm pvc 2 0 16 ilmi
! bind lecs to database
lane config auto-config-atm-address
lane config database mydb
int atm0.1 multipoint
! configure les/bus
lane server-bus ethernet default
! configure client
lane client ethernet
ip address 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.0
Does this config look OK?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Ron
