Ben,
shut/no shut worked to me. I did it now. you need to: step1--shut asy in r1,
then shut asy in r2. step2--no shut asy1 in r1, then no shut asy1 in r2.
This way the ppp comes up consistently. else it is not coming up. line aux0
is optional. i didn't use those commands.
Brian, Thanks a lot for your info. This troubled me for some time. It's
funny, I didn't switch off the routers for days due to this issue. I tested
two times. It worked both the time.
