Hi all

I have some question in my regarding this sentence I read it's about split hori
zon, could somebody describe to me ?
"For TCP/IP, Cisco routers can disable split-horizon limitations on all frame r
elay interfaces and multipoint subinterfaces and do this by default. However sp
li-horizon cannot be disabled for other protocols like IPX and Apple Talk. Thes
e protocol must use subinterfaces if dynamic routing is desired"
Why we can not disable split horizon for IPX and Apple Talk but can disable for
 IP ?

Regards,
Rudy
