It depends on your security policy, MPLS backbone would allow field offices
to communicate directly, but it is not because MPLS allows it, it should be
permited. Both cases still valid. MPLS allows also sharing of network
resource so most of MPLS backbones are connected through high speed
Ethernet links therefore the user experiente might be better
