In that case you don't really have a lot of options on controlling bootp messages since as I mentioned they are simply directed broadcasts and the only thing the IOS allows you to do with these messages is convert them to unicast as I mentioned earlier.

Why wouldn't you just do separate regular VLANs instead of private VLANs? A bootp message is just a directed broadcast so it will stay within a broadcast domain (VLAN) unless you change it to a unicast with the "ip helper address" command.

Riddle me this,

1 switch (3560), 1 vlan, Default gateway on the connected switch uplink. I
want bootp request to go to one interface on the switch but not others. Is
there another way beside private vlans?
