as far as implementation is considered mostly used on CSC scenarios and
Interproviders for end-to-end transport label.
the only-use case scenario is when you are running BGP/X-BGP between
directly adjacent routers. In any other case which involves more than
one-hop, you would again need MPLS for intermediate transport of
assigned-label.
