Hi,
Yes it does, you may also need to tweak NHRP timers for better scalability and
use dynamic BGP peering on hub.

topology
- it will be 2xASR 1002 with RP2 [active and backup]
- as spokes I will have 3000 non cisco routers which support [open
nhrp] - tested and works
- each spoke will have two bgp session to active and backup router
- it will be gre over ipsec tunnels
- each spoke will receive only default from hubs
- throughput from spoke max 128kbps
- phase 1 configuration
as I understand this topology with asr 1002 can chance to work?

Hi,
Nobody can tell you an exact number, it also depends on number of prefixes
per spoke, overall network stability, but with a proper BGP configuration
you should be able to go beyond 3000 spokes.

What do you think how much one ASR 1002 with RP2 can handle bgp peers?

Hi,
Encryption performance is one scalability issue, hub needs to support the
sum of bandwidths for spokes. But in DMVPN, the routing protocol and
associated number of prefixes per spoke is the problem. You should go with
ASR-RP2 routers to match your encryption performance on the hub, BUT DON'T
use OSPF. OSPF can't scale to 3000 spokes. Use EIGRP with stub on spokes
and
summary on hub or BGP with summary on hub.

Hi
Maybe someone will know which cisco router we can use as hub for
