yes, you can use the CSRv today for learning the IOS-XE. You can set this up in Virtual-box or VmWare "Server, Player". I know Brian Dennis did a nice writeup on how to do this on the INE website, and there are a few others that have described this on their websites as well. All you need to do is a quick google search.
