R&S v5 equipment question

Hi,

I'm preparing lab but I won't be able to take v4, so I have question about
v5 hardware equipment:
what is the minimum router series I could use to be fully compliant with v5
blue print topics?
Since there is IOS v15 on both routers and switches is, let say, 890 router
enough to be used in the lab preparation? Or 1900 at least?
Could I still do lab preparation on 2811 with 12.4T and if I do how will
that affect Cisco's "start knowing IOS 15"?
Cisco recommends C2900 and C3560X. I am looking for alternative to that.
Any suggestion will be great.
