the Default is not even CE2 BGP RIB-in, if it would had made it to BGP RIB i
would had concluded that it was CE2 misconfiguration that route is not being
installed.
I have even tried "debug ip bgp update" i see as below
CE1
000099: *Jan 2 16:31:51.028 PCTime: BGP(0): 10.1.3.4 send UPDATE (format)
172.16.0.0/16, next 10.1.3.4, metric 0, path Local000100: *Jan 2 16:31:51.028
PCTime: BGP(0): 10.1.3.4 send UPDATE (format) 0.0.0.0/0, next 10.1.3.4, metric
0, path Local
CE2*Jan 2 13:43:01.079: BGP(0): 10.1.4.3 rcvd 172.16.0.0/16...*Jan 2
13:43:29.275: BGP(0): Revise route installing 1 of 1 routes for 173.16.0.0/16
-> 10.129.4.37(global) to main IP table

Hi Sameer,

Do you see it in your BGP Rib-in atleast ? Can you get the routing table and
received routes from PE2 perspective ?

Thanks

Ahh ok I see what you're trying to do
So your advertising it out CE1 ok in below output then you should really be
receiving this ok on CE2, can you post the output on CE2 ?
SP should not really be filtering customer specific routes
I've labbed this using a neighbor x.x.x.x default-originate (not relying on
having a static in global rib) and it works ok and other end receives it fine.

Thanks guys for replying.

i have only access to CE (with no vrf, just using the main routing table)
routers as there is a MPLS SP that is giving us the link. Yes i am trying to
get the default-route from CE1-->PE-->P-->PE-->CE2 ( though i am assuming that
SP have a P router)
I am assuming that the SP is filtering my default out, waiting for them to
confirm.
