telnet/ssh to cisco - with C/C++ code capture console output to

Hi,

Does anyone aware or tried to use a C/C++ code to capture telnet/ssh
output to a text file?

I am thinking of a way to perform checks/changes on many routers.

Any ideas are welcome.
