forward address

hi all

some times we see forward add as 0.0.0.0 and sometimes we see an ip
address

why is this so ?

what is the concept of FA ?

As per cisco doc
 The forwarding address concept allows this extra hop to be avoided because
it allows Router 1 to specify another router's IP address as the
forwarding address.
