Check you have enough bytes free in the destination storage location first.
I would try playing the the archive tar commands to copy the entire root
directory including it's sub directories check out doc cd for your exact
platform/ios
archive tar /create usbflash1:/saved.tar flash:/saved.tar
Then extract using
archive tar /xtract flash:/saved
