Hi,
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has some options as well, the OmniSwitch 6900
platform can support high density 10GE interfaces and supports 40GE for
uplink. The OmniSwitch 10K is a pretty good central core switch with lots
of fan out.
I think you'll find that hardware wise the majority vendors use merchant
silicon, Broadcom for example is quite popular the difference is mainly on
the software and features - besides pricing, training etc, depending on
what level of management and provisioning capabilities you require, I
suspect that that the level of element management integration, automation
tools etc may be worth investigating - 10Gig switches are pretty much
commodity items now.
Cheers,
Adam
