Ospf Graceful-restart - Query

Hello ,

We have a implementation where in we have a standard peering with Juniper
T640 and Cisco Gsr Series Router.

While labbing up between Two Junipers about a GR feature, i have enabled Gr
on one of the Junipers while the Other router started responding with its
Gr Extensions without any explicit configuration in place. (Device is at
its defaults - I have not disabled Gr)

My query irrespective of any vendors here would be, if i have GR enabled
specially on a single router, does other router automatically start
supporting the prior one without explicitly configuring any Gr or related
parameters ? . Does the Helper mode kickoff irrespective of enabling any GR
features on the other-end ? When Gr was explicitly disabled i could not
see any support on the device and hence traffic was getting dropped.

Copying and pasting the output here would make much of Other Vendor Centric
so, I just wanted to keep this discussion till this point.
