I use a sentry PT-40 for power that I VPN in via my ASA and telnet to the
Sentry to power on my devices (or cycle). They run $50 used on Ebay, or $140
new if you can find them. There are newer models, I'm sure.

I use an 1841 with a HWIC-16A for console access so that I can
establish multiple console sessions. The Sentry offers console ports, but you
have to switch back and forth through the device, one at a time (not helpful
for labbing).

Out-of-Band capability
ALL -
I work remote sometime and study for my labs.
My routers/switch are installed
in a warehouse 120miles from where I work.
There has been occasions where I
can't reach the equipments and have to
reboot, but have to wait till weekend
to drive :(-
How do people control
their routers/switches? OOB capability?
Is there a simple/cheap OOB method for
Cisco or I should say any
routers/switches?
