Read the readme.txt when you go to the Cisco downloads for the upgrades they will tell you if you will need or they recommend EPLDs, other than that you can check whether it will be disruptive during the upgrade process and can blackout before you commit . Being that its a miner upgrade I doubt you will see any line card issues , but I'd do the online and Cisco SE check first.
