As a side note I heard that the XR image will need 2gig of ram. Additionally I didn't get all of the details but the developers seemed to imply that vIOS isn't IOL. vIOS is something that was more professional done. That being said I think the CSR1000v is the best option if you have the CPU and RAM. INE will be releasing CSR1000v labs soon (next couple weeks).

What the SDN/onePK people called VIRL isn't the same as VIRL/VMMaestro that's coming out at the end of the year. What will be available around the end of July with the onePK SDK is a Ubuntu VM with IOL preinstalled. You will need to do everything via the Ubuntu terminal for now but that's perfectly fine for legal IOL access. For anyone preparing for the lab this is what we'll be happy with for now.
