In my network i have a switch connecting to the load balancer and in the load balancer i am seeing giants being received. I was trying to see why the switch is sending the jumbo frames to the load balancer. i setup a packet capture and saw that every 30 minutes approx the switch is sending the ospf lsa 3 ack and update packets to the load balancer and when checked for their size in the capture all of them were more than 1542 which explains why the load balancer is seeing giants. I am thinking if we could do ospf passive interface on the link which connects to the Load balancer that should stop the switch sending ospf packets towards the load balancer. Any thoughts?
