OER

Hi all

I'm trying to figure out entrance link optimization by using the downgrade
bgp AS community attribute to influence my eBGP peers to send traffic to a
particular link for my inside loopbacks, however after noticing the max
downgrade 5 notice on syslog the eBGP peers just don't see this "prepended
community value"

I have even set the standard community between all iBGP & eBGP peers then
cleared the session...

when I use the default i.e no "downgrade bgp community" command under the
MC's border routers external interface ....which then modifies AS_PATH by
default then I can see the prepention ok on the eBGP peer but why not the
community?

Must be something I'm missing? any OER experts? im running 12.4(24)T

Other sticking points....

When resolving on exit/entrance links, can anyone confirm what the
expectation is to resolve issues i.e

cost Specify OER cost policy resolver settings
delay Specify OER delay policy resolver settings
jitter Specify OER jitter policy resolver settings
loss Specify OER loss policy resolver settings
mos Specify OER MOS policy resolver settings
range Specify OER range policy resolver settings
utilization Specify OER utilization policy resolver settings

is this on both exit & entrance points?
