It would be suspended, and taken out of suspension upon recert of written.

You renewal date always stays the same and does not move, ever.

Another example- even after my 2nd CCIE on April 26th, my renewal date is still May 1 when I picked up my first CCIE the year before. Your date will never change- expired or new CCIE's.
