Subject: OT: IOS EoS-EoSw Policy Doubts
Hi Guys:
I have some doubts about when an IOS release must be replaced because it has reached the end-of-software support date:
If you see at:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/products_end-of-life_policy.html
, it seems clearly that this date is relative to the End-of-sales announcement date, this is, if there is not an EoS announcement, you can use your IOS release and you do not need to worry about if it is 5 years old or similar...
But if you see the IOS life-cycle at:
,it seems that the dates are relative to the FCS (first customer shipment), and that each release only lives 4 years aprox...
Anyone can clarify? I am using an IOS release of the 12.2SE IOS, there is no EoS announcement about the 12.2SE , but my IOS release is made the 2009...
