Hi all
Thanks for the kind replies
I enabled the debug ip pim bsr and I did receive output
*Mar 17 09:56:08.429: PIM-BSR(0): bootstrap (9.9.0.7) on non-RPF path FastEthernet0/0.35 or from non-RPF neighbor 9.9.56.6 discarded
Now I can see that there is RPF failure and I know that one of the solutions is to configure ip mroute , but what i am a little bit confused about is that the R5 (the router i am taking the output from ) is facing the issue from the two connection he has
non-RPF path FastEthernet0/0.35
non-RPF neighbor 9.9.56.6 discarded
Anyway , I have added R5(config)#ip mroute 9.9.0.7 255.255.255.255 9.9.35.3 and got the below message
*Mar 17 09:59:11.453: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Tunnel0, changed state to up
R5#sh ip pim rp mapp
PIM Group-to-RP Mappings
Group(s) 239.255.0.0/16
RP 9.9.0.7 (?), v2
Info source: 9.9.0.7 (?), via bootstrap, priority 0, holdtime 150
